A team of two students from Grade 5 will design a single-level game using Scratch 3.0 as their preliminary submission on the given theme.

The game must include the following elements :

  • Logic: Thoughtfully planned gameplay that encourages critical thinking

  • Theme: Clear alignment with the topic

  • Instructions: Well-structured and clear instructions for players

The Prompt for Shriteq Scratch Mania 2025 is:

Spacecraft Odyssey : Chapter # 1 :Launching the Spacecraft Chapter 1(Prelims) : Design and Launch Your Spacecraft Task: Design a spacecraft sprite and launch it to reach the Space Station while overcoming various hurdles.

Preliminary Event Details:

Chapter 1: Design and Create an AI Avatar to Safeguard Our Planet

Launch Your AI Avatar

Each team of two students from Grade 5 will create a single-level game in Scratch 3.0. The task is to design an AI Avatar sprite and launch it in an appropriate backdrop.

Please Note : Teams that qualify for the final round will create Chapter 2 on the final day of the event. The next mission will be announced on-site on November 11th at the Moulsari campus. Please note that internet access or any external media will be prohibited during the final round, however, teams will have access to their preliminary creations, should they wish to utilize them.

Submission Details

  • Upload your game (sb3 file) by 2nd November 2025.
  • File Naming Convention: <ScratchMania>_<schoolname>

8 shortlisted teams will qualify for the Final Round. The teams making it to the finals will be announced on 7th November. The final event will be held offline at Shri Ram School Moulsari and students will get 2 hours to make a single level chapter 2.

Teams will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

  • Technical Expertise
  • Relevance to the Topic
  • Design and Creativity
  • Overall Appeal

Topic Release for Prelims: 24th October

Submissions of Prelims: 2nd November

Announcement of qualifiers for Final Round: 7th November

Finals: 11th November (Offline at Shri Ram School Moulsari)
